Thomas is the Head Legal CIB of BNP Paribas in Zurich. He worked as attorney at law in Zurich for many years, with a particular focus on international corporate and commercial law as well as general banking matters. Thomas studied law at the University of Zurich (lic.iur.), passed the bar exam in 2008 and earned a LL.M. in banking and finance law from Queen Mary, University of London (2012, with distinction). In 2021, he successfully completed the Oxford Executive Leadership Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Thomas also completed courses at University Paris Assas (Digital Lawyer Certificate, 2019) and University of Cambridge (Sustainability Essentials for Business, 2023). He is a contributor to leading journals. Furthermore, Thomas has been involved in politics for almost 20 years, was an active Swiss army officer and also served as the president of the Cantonal Zurich Officers Association (KOG ZH).
